The Bioenergy Sector is currently a hive of activity: The RO consultation deadline is the 6^th of September and the RTFO consultation deadline the 13^th September. The carbon emissions reduction targets consultation ends tomorrow and we hope this will result in an uptake of householder biomass installations. Germany has recently made a ground-breaking announcement: that developments should generate apercentage of their heat from renewables as well as power. This is a first and we hope other EU countries will follow. Such developments demonstrate how fast the debate is moving.

 

Bioenergy 2007 will be an opportunity to discuss these issues as well as hearing about innovative new technologies and techniques and tackling the ever present sustainability debate.
